NYC New York Color Show Time Glitter Eyeliner Review

I received the NYC Color Show Time Glitter Eyeliner if my first Influenster College Vox box. I'm usually a Wet N Wild girl for eyeliner, but I was pleasantly surprised with the formula.

The formula is extremely pigmented and doesn't have too much glitter. The liner is soft and easy to apply. I had read previous reviews and many people said they had melt it or light it with a lighter (yay for the 80s LOL), but I have not had that issue. It's very build-able and it lasts a good part of the day. I work 8 hour shifts, so by the time I get home, I've been wearing it for over 12 hours, but it holds up pretty good. I'm never one to reapply eyeliner through out the day, so by the time I get home, it's a bit faded, but only noticeable if you are looking closely.

Here is a swatch on my hand. This applied in one stroke. You can see how black it is and the color pay-off is AMAZING.

 

Here is my overall "work" make-up with the eyeliner. I will list the rest of the *products I used below.

 

Like I had mentioned previous, I usually buy the Wet N Wild Color Icon Shimmer pencil. That compared to ths product, NYC wins. The pencil is easier to sharpen. The Wet N Wild is sometimes too soft, so it breaks up and I have to keep sharpening. After sharpening so much, it wastes the product and I'm left with less than half of the pencil left. :(

 

Overall, I would definitely recommend this product. It's only $2.49 at most drugstores which is a good price for a good black eyeliner. I will definitely be repurchasing the NYC Color Time pencil and in different colors. :-)

So I just finished watching EleventhGorgeous's Celebrity Crush Tag video. So I decided to do the tag, but in my blog. So let's get started!!!

1. Who was your celeb crush when you were young?
A: Leonardo DiCaprio...

2. Celebrity girl crush?
A: Emma Stone. Every since Easy A, I just want to be her best friend. LOL

3. Celebrity crush over 40?
A: Johnny Depp. Predictable?? Yes, but I have been saying since I was 14 (even though he is old enough to be my dad) that he is SEXY. 2nd place goes to Robert Downey Jr.

4. Boy band crush?
A: Justin Timberlake (NSYNC)

5. Teenage jail bait celeb crush?
A: Josh Hutcherson. I know he is no longer considered "jail bait", but he was when I first saw him in Bridge to Terabithia.  Now I just cannot get enough of him.

Influenster College Vox Box 2012

So I received my first Influenster Vox Box. I received the College Vox Box 2012. I am super excited to try all the products I received.  If you do not know what Influenster is, it's a free website you either get invited to join or you can request an invite. They have different badges you can earn based on what kind of reviews of products you do. I have been concentrating on reviewing beauty, fashion and pop culture products.

I first heard about this site from EleventhGorgeous on Youtube. After you get your box, you check it in and then the site gives a list of mandatory and bonus tasks to complete. Here is a picture and summary of what I received:

Necco Tropical Wafers ($1.25 each), ImPress Press-On Manicure ($5.99 for colors, $7.99 for patterns), Energy Sheets ($5.95 for 10 pack), Pentel EnerGel-X Pen ($1.90 per pen) and NYC Show Time Glitter Eyeliner ($2.49 per pencil).

Again, I am looking forward to trying all of these and looking forward to reviewing all of the products.

Fashion Edition #1: Fall/Winter Must Have

My Fall/Winter Must have are the Rocket Dog sweater booties. I am on my 2nd pair. Last year, I purchased a beige pair at the Shoe Dept for $20. Those are now retired to house slippers. ;) This year, I found a pair at TJ Maxx for $19.99. I freaked out when I saw them and they had my size. These are the most comfortable Fall/Winter shoes ever. I highly recommend these booties. I wear them with skinny jeans and a cute sweater.
